We often deal with clients who know what their main goal is, but they have no idea of how to go about achieving it.

Here’s a simple guide to what might work for you, based on whether you’re telling a ‘who’, ‘what’ or ‘why’ story. There are essentially 3 types of films that make up the majority of the work we do.

Who?

Interview

If your main goal is to connect with the viewer on a personal level and tell the story of the people behind you brand, there’s no better way than using interviews.

Here’s an example of a ‘who’ video we produced for Purdys Chocolatier…

What?

Animations

Animations are a super useful tool for explaining things. If you need to describe how a new service works, or explain something kinda complicated to clients, this might be your best approach.

Here’s a great example of a ‘what’ video we created for Sunshine Coast Credit Union...

Why?

VOICEOVER NARRATIVE

Voiceover narrated videos are effective at telling stories behind products or brands that aren’t too detailed or personal, but are often more inspirational.

Take a look at what we mean with this video we created for FrontFundr:

OF COURSE, NONE OF THIS IS SET IN STONE!

You might want to explain something carefully in an interview, or create an inspirational animation to tell a why story. If you’re not too sure, we’re here to guide you through the process of figuring this all out.
