What challenges made this video necessary?
The main challenge was to create a film with a distinct Freybe flavor (see what we did there?); something you could watch and know instantly that it was a Freybe film, without ever seeing the logo. They wanted this film to have elements that could be repeated in future productions, while at the same time connecting emotionally with their ideal consumer.
Freybe also wanted to shoot two films at the same time, maximizing the budget and creating similar films with different goals. The first film would speak to their target customer, while the second would be internal-focused; meant for showing employees what it means to be a Freybe team member.
WHAT WAS OUR SOLUTION TO OVERCOMING THIS CHALLENGE?
We decided to lead with a personal and honest tone by filming with real people in various authentic environments. The style of filming would be organic, handheld shots – nothing overly produced. We would combine that with a produced opening scene that would transition into an animated sequence. This would help us communicate more details in a creative way, while also developing a repeatable style that can be a part of the Freybe brand for years to come.
Both films follow the same structure, with a more produced opening, followed by an animated sequence that allows us to cover more details, and finally a more authentic lifestyle section to end the film. At the heart of both films is a message about people. The brand film speaks to what it means to be the kind of person that buys Freybe products and shares the Freybe core values.
The internal video speaks to the values of Freybe employees and how they align with the consumer’s, creating an authentic understanding of the customer’s needs. This approach allowed us to shoot similar content and maximize the production spend of the client, while also allowing us to create a style of film that would be very recognizable as a “Freybe Film”.
What value did Freybe get from working with us?
We took the Freybe team through our Video BluePrint workshop, this process allowed them to truly understand what was needed from the video and got everyone on the same page with the goals and direction early.
They were launching their new brand at a year end AGM, where they played the films to showcase the new direction of the brand.
They will use the brand film on their new website launching later in the year.
They will use the internal film to help introduce new employees to the company, to help them better understand what it means to be a part of this family and what values they share.
What value did Freybe get from the content created?
Freybe got not only a video that will tell the brand’s story for years to come, but also a structure and style that’s recognisable as being particula to the brand and that can be followed and repeated for years to come.
We have also created a large library of content we can draw from and add to as we edit more content for them from the footage already created.
